Oji Group Management Structure

Oji Group has come to establish technologies and quality as a leader of paper manufacturing in Japan. However, our business domains currently exceed that of paper manufacturing and are diversified. Expanding the Scope and Scale of Our Overseas Activities

The overseas activities of Oji Group began in the 1970s with the establishment of a pulp production operation in Brazil, since then, we have continually expanded our overseas operations. Our overseas businesses are quite diverse, including the manufacture of corrugated board and folding cartons in countries within Asia such as Vietnam and Malaysia and Oceania, thermal paper manufacturing in the United States, Germany, Thailand and Brazil, plantation and wood processing businesses and production of raw materials in China, Southeast Asian countries and Australia, and the manufacture of wood-free paper and pulp in China.

History of Oji Group

Since its founding in 1873, Oji Group has been growing through the expansion of business fields. While keeping abreast of the trends of the times, we have tackled changing social needs and evolved our business structure. In recent years, aiming for contribution to a sustainable society, we have been actively rolling out the technologies cultivated in our domestic business to the global market.

The origin of Oji Group dates back to the establishment of paper manufacturing company by Eiichi Shibusawa,
the founder of the modern Japanese economy.

Manufacturing in Tomakomai opens.

Merges with Fuji Paper Co. and Karafuto Industries Co..
